FAQ

Why did my recipient get less than I sent?

A typical international wire passes through 1–3 banks, each allowed to deduct a fee. Your 2,000 can lose 45 at your bank, 15 at a correspondent, 10 at the receiver's bank, and another 50 to the exchange margin — 6% gone before anyone spends it.

What is an intermediary bank fee?

When two banks lack a direct relationship, a correspondent bank in the middle settles the payment for a cut — often 10–30 taken straight out of the transfer. Asking for the payment to route 'OUR' (fees paid by sender) prevents surprise deductions.

Are flat-fee services always cheaper?

Usually for mid-size transfers, but always compare the received amount, not the headline fee. On very large sums a 0.4% margin can exceed a bank's flat fees — the calculator shows both all-in percentages so you can check.
