FAQ
How do I calculate a discounted price?
Multiply the original price by (1 − discount% ÷ 100). For a 20% discount: price × 0.80.
How do double discounts work?
Apply them sequentially, not additively: a 20% discount followed by another 10% off equals price × 0.8 × 0.9 = 28% total off, not 30%.
How do I calculate a sale price quickly?
Multiply the price by (1 − discount). An $80 shirt at 25% off is 80 × 0.75 = $60 — no subtraction needed.
