FAQ
What are METs?
A MET (Metabolic Equivalent of Task) is energy cost relative to rest. 1 MET ≈ 3.5 ml O₂/kg/min. The formula: kcal = MET × 3.5 × weight(kg) ÷ 200 × minutes.
Does the afterburn effect add many calories?
Excess post-exercise oxygen consumption adds roughly 6–15% on top of the workout burn — real but modest. The session itself matters far more.
Why does my watch show different calories?
Watches fold in your resting metabolism for the elapsed time; this tool shows the net extra burn from the activity alone. Both definitions are valid.
