FAQ

What is a good pace for a beginner?

For new runners, 6–8 min/km (9:40–12:50 per mile) is a healthy range. Consistency matters far more than speed in the first year.

How do negative splits work?

Run the second half slightly faster than the first — most marathon PRs are set this way. Aim for your first-half pace to be 5–10 s/km slower than target.

What pace breaks 4 hours in a marathon?

42.195 km ÷ 240 min = 5:41 per km (9:09 per mile). Rehearse that pace on 3–4 long runs of 20+ km before race day.
