FAQ
Why does pregnancy count from my last period?
Gestational age starts at the first day of the last menstrual period, about two weeks before conception actually occurs. That's why a 'conception date' estimate subtracts roughly 14 days.
How many days is a full-term pregnancy?
About 280 days (40 weeks) from the last period. Birth between 37 and 42 weeks is considered term, and most babies arrive a few days on either side of the estimate.
Which trimester am I in?
First runs to the end of week 13, second from week 14 to 27, and third from week 28 to delivery. This calculator switches automatically as you change weeks and days.
