FAQ
What is a factorial?
The product of all whole numbers from 1 up to n, written n!. By convention 0! equals 1.
Why cap at 170?
Beyond 170! the result exceeds what standard floating-point numbers can represent, so results would become inaccurate.
How are trailing zeros counted?
Each trailing zero needs a factor of 10 (a pair 2×5); counting multiples of 5 up to n gives the answer since twos are plentiful.
