FAQ
What are the Ohm's law formulas?
V = I × R, I = V ÷ R, R = V ÷ I, and P = V × I. Knowing any two quantities fixes the other two completely.
How much current does a 60W bulb draw at 120V?
I = P ÷ V = 60 ÷ 120 = 0.5 A, with resistance R = 120 ÷ 0.5 = 240 Ω.
Why does metal resistance rise with heat?
Hotter atoms vibrate and scatter electrons more often. Semiconductors behave oppositely — their resistance falls as temperature rises.
